Happy Chinese New Year :)
I'm quite happy now bcoz my parents will be visiting me pretty soon. :) They'll be heading to another state actually, but they promise to drop by & see their daughter here ;)
This is my 51st post in this blog; I know... this blog is inactive, dull/boring(!!?) and I guess it's underrated as well. But I don't care about all that... what I want to say here is I don't blog that often bcoz I don't know what subject should I blog about. triinnngg...'Joyce, you should blog about your life; your story, your hopes, your dreams, your dissapoinments... and yes, the teeny-weeny details of your daily life ... hence the title; Life has its ups and downs' Maybe that what comes to ur mind when I mentioned that I don't know what to blog about... And I guess that's what u want to hear too (I mean, my story) ;) Come on, friends! I also want to hear ur story! I really do. :) John Siddal (the American Magazine periodical's editor (1915-23)) once said, "People are always interested in human interest stories,..." One apparent proof I can show to you is the Reader's Digest Magazine, it's one of the most-circulated magazines in the world. And what magazine is it actually? Yes, it's a magazine of true stories of real people. See, we love to hear people's story.
But still I'm not comfortable to share every inch of details of my day-to-day living. And I know I'm not wrong in that. Oh, please... ya wouldn't want to hear me talking like this...

Or maybe I should blog about the foods I tried. Owh, let me try to write something about foods...
"Dinner with friends at place X yesteday night. One of the main dishes served was roasted round chicken with pringles around it. The sight of it was funny yet so appetizing. When the waiter's done cutting the chicken, I quickly (yet still polite) grabbed a slice. Uh huh... my excitement died the moment I chewed the food. It's S.A.L.T.Y. I blamed it to the chef :("

I'm afraid I would scare u off until u don't want to go & try the place pula. :D But anyway, the two stories above were real stories of yours truly.
Okay, or maybe I should consider writing review(s) about books I read. This is a terrific idea. Might try it some time.

New Year's

Well, I don't know how much do I agree with that quote.. but at least, I have something to write here to break the ice with you. I was in Sandakan this morning, and now I'm in this noisy and busy city of KL. Back after my sweet 10-days holiday. I didn't sleep in the plane..I guessed it's bcoz I had a good rest at home. And now, I miss my parents already.
Tomorrow is the first working day for me, for you...yea, basically for everybody. I don't know what will ur company do to embrace the first-working-day of the year, as for mine, we'll start to work 30 min earlier than usual (only for a day lah, we'll get back to normal working hours after that :) )
I've read some new year's resolution by others in their blog. Thanks for sharing them up. Mmm... Well, I'll share some of mine... but only the not so-personal ones :) The obvious thing, perhaps, is to get to know KL better; especially the places and the routes too :) I couldn't move so actively last year bcoz I still don't know many places. I used my guts a lot; with an address in my hand and off I went to find the place. Haha.. of course, on the way, many a times, I put on a smiley face and asked people for direction, or sometimes, I kept talking on the phone with a friend asking for direction until I found the place. And I also keep the KL's map in my room, oh yea..it does help!! At least, now I know that Balakong is a place's name and not a company's name (owh..okay..unless the company's name is Balakong S/B or Balakong Ltd. or Balakong Enterprise. err..are u clueless? I won't tell u what's the funny and cute, yet embarassing story behind this ;P. Nothing to be worried about la. No harm done ;)).
Second is...mmm... to lose weight, perhaps. At my cousin's engagement that day during holiday, a few of my aunties said to me while holding my arms, "Joyce, u r sooooooo plumpy" ;l. Cousins were even more straightforward ;(. Yup, need to lose weight. Owh, wish me luck. I have plan and strategy on how to do it, but I malas to write 'em here.. :)
I've lots of things I want to achieve; I want to do this, I want to do that, oh yes, this one too...oh yeah! that one too... But I'm not ready to share 'em here...not comfortable actually.
