For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Melaka

I had a chance to visit Melaka together with my family this week, although it was very brief yet it's still good. Melaka is stunning, rich with history...so I guess I'll just log some of the pictures taken during the visit.

So this is Malacca Town at night. The many city lights lend their beauty to the city; truly stunning.

The Christ Church of Melaka; one of the prominent features of Melaka.

My parents :)

Alright, so this is St.Paul's Hill...

and this is St.Francis Xavier's statue.

St.Paul's Church Ruins.

Me and my sisters :)

So, this is the shot of Malacca Town I snapped as I strolled down the stairs...

and this is the shot my father took.

Malacca Town

This is the Istana Kesultanan Melaka (Palace of Melaka Sultanate).

Ok, so these are some shots of Malacca Town I took up from Menara Taming Sari (Taming Sari Revolving Tower).

Lunch at Restoran Jejantas.

Yes, the visit was very short, we didn't get to go to many other buildings and places. But Melaka is such a beautiful city with long history. Such a heritage we have here in Malaysia. :)

P/S: This is a nice way to decorate my blog...pictures.

'Masak-masak' again

Stuffed bitter gourd... I believe many of you are familiar with this dish, and I must mention here that there are other ways of cooking this dish too. (Warning: This dish might not be appetizing for some)

Ok, so we'll need bitter gourd...

some pork...

(chopped)

clove of garlic...

(chopped)

one big onion...

(chopped)

ginger...

(chopped)

'cincalok'...

plum sauce...

soy sauce...

fish sauce...

and flour.

Cut the bitter gourd like this. Remove the seeds.

Place the bitter gourd in boiling water.

In a bowl, combine the chopped pork, garlic, big onion, ginger, 'cincalok', plum sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce and flour. Mix thoroughly.

Mix some oil with some dried condiment.

Wipe the oil upon the baking tray.

Stuff the pork mixture into bitter gourd rings.

Bake 'em.

And ta-daa...another dish is ready to serve.
